Beyonka Heine, founder, owner, and director of Divine Treasures in Lafayette, enlisted our firm's expertise for the renovation of her 4,448-square-foot childcare facility, catering to children from infants to 4 years old. As Divine Treasures expanded its physical footprint by an additional 8,814 square feet, the owner sought our assistance once again. Two adjacent buildings, with direct access to the existing daycare's playground, became available, prompting the need for our design expertise in their renovation.

Given the regulatory nature of the daycare industry, where child-to-caregiver ratios are strictly defined by code, our approach involved utilizing code requirements to size the new daycare rooms. Our firm strategically maximized the owner's profit potential while adhering to these regulations. Additionally, we actively sought opportunities to repurpose existing components such as lighting, mechanical systems, and millwork, effectively minimizing the owner's startup costs.
